John has been in and around construction throughout most of his life; starting by assisting his father in building their family home when he was in elementary school and junior high. Shortly after High School, John spent several months doing residential roofing while saving money for college. Then, in his mid-twenties (with a wife and two kids in tow) he spent a couple of years in masonry while building his portfolio to become a graphic designer. After several years of working as an artist, and due a changing marketplace, he found himself entering the world of Commercial Construction as a labourer/ carpenter. John quickly worked his way up through the ranks and has spent the last two decades in management as a Site Superintendent, Estimator and Project Manager. John balances his leisure time with artistic pursuits including writing, drawing, painting and playing his guitars.
